Gunnar Haller, as a child, showed a strong fascination with geometric shapes, delighting in filling them with vibrant colors and emphasizing the significance of straight lines.

In the late 1970s, Gunnar's artistic journey took a significant turn when he encountered abstract art for the first time, being deeply inspired by the immense paintings of Vassily Kandinsky in Paris. From that moment on, his passion for abstract art became a lifelong commitment.

Working with geometric forms has been at the core of Gunnar's artistic expression. He diligently arranges these shapes, aiming to convey the sheer joy he experiences while crafting a new painting.

Since 1980, Gunnar has devoted himself to an ongoing series of acrylic abstract paintings. His preferred medium is paper, where he starts by creating multiple pencil sketches, thoughtfully contemplating color choices. Subsequently, he meticulously redraws the composition on thick watercolor paper. For his artwork, Gunnar exclusively employs acrylic paint, using delicate sable brushes for precise application.
